Who would have ever thought a game of golf could be so challenging in so many ways? Four women find themselves in a golf league. Two had been widows and had not seen each other in years. One was a mother whose role was changing and she wasn’t sure she liked it. A former CountyProsecutor had started her own law firm and was a very strong presence in the lives of the other women.

What started out to be a chance grew into something none of them would expect. As their friendships grew, so did suspicion, doubts and illegal transactions. Was money going to be the killing factor or would these women find out who they really were?

Author Sandi Spaugh has a great ability to grab reader’s attention from the start with her vivid descriptions and conversations between the women.  In “Ladies League Front Nine” she intertwines subtle hints of deception, affairs and intrigue as readers get to know each character, their spouses and what happens on a golf course. From the title of the book, one could ascertain the book was about the game of golf. You will have to read this to find out what really goes on.
