Over the past decade there has been more research done than ever before on how food additives, herbicides, pesticides and GMO has been polluting our foods. “Mannie’s Diet and Enzyme Formula” addresses these topics as well as food categories, cooking tips, beverage choices and eating out. However, the bottom-line of this book is explaining and encouraging readers to use the enzyme formula.
The authors state “A person must have the desire to get well because change is difficult for most people. Without this desire, nothing a doctor or anyone else says or does will ever cause change.” They go on to say that once we choose a diet to follow we must stick to it, but more so “believe their course will succeed.” Taking responsibility is of utmost importance and Barling and Brooks give the reader options to do so.
The book addresses many issues most people have and the authors believe that much has to do with lack of enzymes to digest the food consumed. They also explain how our bodies maintain an internal clock and a ph balance and if we don’t nourish our bodies when the body requires it, indigestion or flaring up of IBS, Crohn’s, or IBD could occur.
Barling and Brooks have done intensive research for this book. They’ve taken studies, their own findings, and information others have written about and compiled it into a concise, informative book. “Mannie’s Diet and Enzyme Formula” includes basically all the information that one would need to understand the concept of combating disease, managing present illness, and preventing onset. I encourage readers to consider this book – it’s a valuable resource.
