Even though this book was published over ten years ago it continues to touch the hearts of hundreds of thousands of readers.  Don Miguel Ruiz, a healer through lectures, workshops, and journeys to sacred sites also shares his wisdom through writing.  “The Mastery of Love” guides readers using the Toltec tradition to create happiness, freedom and love within their own realm of life.

Although I read this book when it first came out, I chose to read it again for the purpose of this review.  And, needless to say, every word was seen with different eyes.  The part that gave me the biggest aha was:

If you look at your body, you will find billions of living beings who depend on you. Every cell in your body is a living being that depends on you. You are responsible for all those beings. For all those living beings that are your cells, you are God. You can provide what they need; you can love all those living beings, or you can be mean to them.

I got it!  We are the living being (the cell) of God and because God is love, we will be provided with all we need.  Yes, I got it!

Powerful, powerful impact.  But, there is more to “The Mastery of Love.”  Although the book is small and concise, Ruiz’s words clearly define how to overcome our self-induced suffering, pain, and chaos in relationships in a huge way.  Happiness and clarity begins within ourselves before we can have meaningful relationships with others. The gentle guidance by Ruiz will lead you to mastering love, if you allow it to happen.
