It is believed by some that the Book of Enoch was the original document, containing the secrets of spiritual realms, given to mankind by God.  Enoch was the great-grandfather of Noah.  It is also believed that writers of the New Testament were aware of the writings in the Book of Enoch and were influenced while writing it.

Over the centuries the writings were lost but it is believed that during the sixteenth-century Dr. John Dee, a “Renaissance mathematician, scientist, scholar, and occultist,” received the contents from the angels in the form of tables. As one can only imagine, the information given to Dr. Dee is very different from what biblical scholars have written.  “Decoding the Enochian Secrets” is some of the transcribed text received by Dr. Dee and written in his diary.

John DeSalvo’s passion for this topic comes through his writing as he explains some of the stories.  As well, this book has the complete book with photocopies of the tables.

I read DeSalvo’s commentary with much interest.  I believe he is well versed on this topic and his extended research shows through his words.  It seems that the teachings of Enoch come and go, almost like in an underworld of its own.   However, DeSalvo has brought these teachings to the surface again in “Decoding the Enochian Secrets,” and I’m sure that students and believers in the Book of Enoch will find this version as an additional resource and possibly have a better understanding of the original text.
