“175 Best Mini Pie Recipes” by Julie Anne Hession is just that! It is the best quick recipe book we have encountered in a very long time. We were so much intrigued on how easy could be to follow such cute and good looking mini treats that we chose it as our first monthly Cook Book Club read so that we could test it. It was perfect also for the holiday baking and as such we decided to try out one of the sweet pies.  Due to lack of organization on our part as we tried to document through our first video cook book review we did have to improvise on some of the ingredients, and ended up substituting apples for pears.

We must say that “175 Best Mini Pie Recipes” proved to be excellent to test our creative juices as well. The results with our substitution were wonderful. We got not only taste great but the instructions were so easy to follow, we also got great looking mini pies! We totally recommend this book to all baking aficionados like us.
