John Nicolazzo has penned an inspiring selection of encouraging messages, thought-provoking poems, and challenging songs in collaboration with the Holy Spirit in the book “Do You Hear God Talking? I Do, and So Can You: Inspirations of a Born-Again Sinner.”
Each selection follows the theme of God’s gracious gifts of love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness which bring with them the blessings of peace, joy, and assurance of life in Christ. Nicolazzo’s poems and songs are a positive testimony of his unique personal relationship with God. Many of Nicolazzo’s poems become powerful prayers of praise, expressions of worship, and commitment. Selections from his original songs speak of the promised return of Jesus, of Jesus as the Stranger from Galilee, the truth of his Word, and the power of His Holy Spirit.

The short practical maxims and adages reach into the heart of the reader with profound insight into daily living, personal relationships, or God’s purposes. These reflections are challenging capsules of sage wisdom and guidelines for living, calling for further meditation, reflection, and integration into daily living.

I would have appreciated a little more in way of introduction, including purpose and intent, especially of the inspirational messages. The format of the poems is reader friendly. The short section of songs could easily be incorporated with the poems.
“Do You Hear God Talking? I Do, and So Can You: Inspirations of a Born-Again Sinner” by John Nicolazzo is an excellent resource for personal inspiration, thought-provoking discussion and is ideal for gift giving, hospital visitation, and encouragement. A complimentary copy of this book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.
