Author Theresa M. Janson presents readers with a captivating, can’t-put-it-down murder mystery involving young boys living around Indian reservations in “The TRIBAL Case.”

When FBI profiler Samantha Wright inherits a horrific serial case from her mentor and longtime friend, she finds her life in a dangerous situation in the race to save these boys from a sadistic killer. Having been recruited right from college into the FBI which is a male-dominated world, many believe you can’t be beautiful and have brains at the same time.

Sam is sent out of her comfort zone to the wilds of Montana to work with Will Little Bear, a famous Cheyenne Indian Guide. What is most difficult about this case is every time law enforcement gets close to capturing the killer, he somehow eludes them, and there are the tribal laws that must be followed, especially when the victims are found near sacred grounds. Sam’s goal is to honor those traditions, and be mindful of their losses, yet do her job and do it fast before there are more victims.

The author’s extensive background in law enforcement and living on horse ranch provided with her excellent narratives and credibility. I had a hard time putting this one down because I wanted to know what was coming next.  Janson’s writing provides readers with believable characters, and exciting plot twists and I appreciated the way she used understandable law enforcement terms for the everyday reader. I also found the dialogue between the characters to be genuine. I enjoyed Samantha as she is straightforward and goes after what she wants, yet she also has an appealing feminine side. I fell in love with Will Little Bear with his silent, sexy style.

I highly recommend “The TRIBAL Case” by Theresa M. Janson to a wide audience as its appeal holds something for everyone.  Those who like murder, romance, psychological thrillers, and classic hardboiled mysteries will enjoy this unique approach.
