The first reaction that I get whenever I mention, “Leaky Gut Syndrome,” is a startled, “What?” I always have to repeat myself. It is refreshing to have the opportunity to read a comprehensive holistic guide to healing Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS). In “The Complete Leaky Gut Health & Diet Guide” by Dr. Makoto Trotter, the author does an excellent job of explaining the disorder in a way that most people without a science background will be able to understand. He discusses how it affects the whole body. I think that this is really important because it will help people understand why they need to heal their gut in order to get over other health issues that might unknowingly be triggered by LGS. In addition to addressing traditional medical paths to healing the disease, he also discusses complementary therapies such as acupuncture. Readers will find themselves looking at every aspect of their lives to determine how they can best heal. In addition to medical issues, diet, sleep, exercise and stress levels will be evaluated.

A large portion of this guide is dedicated to recipes that will help one heal. These recipes look delicious and will not leave one feeling deprived. I was pleased to see that many of them have vegan ingredients. This makes it much easier for those of us who have other dietary restrictions. The “Leaky Gut Health & Diet Guide,” offers the most appealing diet plan that I have seen for healing LGS. A meal plan guide is even laid out for the reader. Soothing teas are recommended, and there are also delicious juicing options and directions on how to make your own nut milks. I truly look forward to incorporating these foods into my healing plan. As a person who enjoys eating, this is a huge plus!

“The Complete Leaky Gut Health & Diet Guide,” by Dr. Makoto Trotter is highly recommended for people who are dealing with this health issue. Caretakers would also benefit from reading it. This is the most comprehensive guide that I have found on this subject and I was pleased to pick up a lot of new information about how to heal my gut.
